TM Econ Mitigation Bank (TMMB) is a 5,200-acre bank located in East Orange County within the headwaters of the Econlockhatchee River with SJRWMD Basin #19. The bank provides a critical connection between Split Oak Conservation Area and the Hal Scott Preserve. TM Econ Mitigation Bank is an integral part of the environmental corridor that spans from Lake Tohopokeliga in Osceola County to the south and the St. Johns River headwaters of Lake Jesup and Lake Monroe to the North.
TM Econ is State and Federally approved to offset forested or herbaceous wetland impacts and can mitigate for riparian habitat protection zones (RHPZ) losses within the Econ basin. Credits are available to offset impacts for projects located in Orange County, Seminole, Volusia, Osceola and Brevard Counties. Its service area also includes SJRWMD Basins: #18-St. Johns River (Canaveral Marshes to Wekiva); Basin #19-Econlockhatchee River Nested; Basin #23: Lake Jesup; SFWMD Basins: Boggy Creek; Lake Hart; East Lake Tohopekaliga; and Lake Myrtle.
